Eileen Hacker, PhD, APRN, AOCN, is a professor and chair of the department of nursing at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is a life-long oncology nurse. Her research has been funded by the National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Nursing Research, American Cancer Society and Oncology Nursing Society. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.
